CTIAS history
- January 2022
A Vision for Change
Mayor Thomas P. Koch appointed John C. Cain, Jr. as Director of Community Technology Integration and Support (CTIAS), motivated by the negative outcomes of COVID and the challenges residents faced lacking technology tools to communicate via the internet.
- Early 2022
Listening and Learning
Mayor Koch directed John to meet individually with his leadership team to understand each department's technology goals across the city.
- Spring 2022
Planning for Impact
John reviewed results with the Mayor and proposed resident-based instruction programs of a maximum of 10 learners.
- Summer 2022
Programs Take Shape
A focus and enrichment program was developed to educate and familiarize residents with technology and its added value to their lives.
- And Beyond
Growing a Digital Future
What began as small classes has grown into a regional effort serving thousands and building a more connected, inclusive Quincy.
